Over a period of 12 months

WE ADMIT

A group of 40 students comprising of 16 girls and 24 women – with special spaces for women with/affected by disability and those from diverse ethnic groups

WE TRAIN

Our women/girls in market-driven vocational skills (hairdressing, dressmaking and knitting) over a period of 11 months and prepare them for the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) exams

WE EQUIP

Our women/girls with top-notch complementary competencies in computer/internet literacy, financial literacy, basic English and Math, and a one month uniquely-tailored entrepreneurship course

WE PROVIDE

Our women/girls with post-graduation start-up packages and consequent follow-up, technical assistance and advisory support

WE ENGAGE

Our women/girls in practical experiences through either a 5-month internal business incubator or a 3-month post-training internship/apprenticeship in reputable partner companies/viable small-scale shops (Jua Kali)

WE INSPIRE

Our women/girls through professional counselling, emotional intelligence, motivational and mentorship sessions

 This process is meant to empower the students with necessary skills and tools to follow any of our three sustainable tracks:

  • The Employment Track – Gaining a good job in a viable company 

  • The Entrepreneurship Track – Establishing and sustaining their own business

  • The Higher Education Track – Take supplementary courses and continue to higher levels of education before following any of the above two tracks
